You can include symbolic rituals within your ceremony to represent your relationship, your promises or the people who are important to you.
 

There are no rules about what you should include. We can choose something traditional, create something completely new, or leave rituals out altogether.

Handfasting

A beautiful symbolic ritual where your hands are bound together to represent your commitment and the joining of your lives.

Ring Warming

Your wedding rings are passed amongst your loved ones, who have the opportunity to hold them and make a wish, blessing or quiet thought for your marriage.

Tree Planting

Planting a tree together to symbolise your relationship taking root, growing and continuing through the years.

Unity Candle

Two individual candles are lit and brought together to create one flame, symbolising two lives joining as one.

Sharing a Drink

Share a glass of wine, champagne or another meaningful drink together as a symbol of sharing life's experiences.

Time Capsule / Wine Box

Write letters to one another, add special memories or keepsakes and seal them away to open on a future anniversary.
 

Unity Sand

Two different sands are combined into one vessel, representing two individual lives becoming intertwined.

Family & Friends

There are lots of ways to involve the people you love — from readings and poems to symbolic contributions or having children take an active part in the ceremony.
